Jesus Tattoo
There is perhaps no tattoo more iconic then the Jesus tattoo. It’s depicts the face recognizable by people all over the world. And not just among Christians either. I think you would be hard pressed to find a person of any religion who doesn’t recognize the figure in a Jesus tattoo. He is often depicted with a faint glow over his body, alluding to his divinity and is sometimes displayed with a halo over his head. This is probably due to the close association between heavenly beings and wings.
I personally like wing tattoos. And believe me when I tell you that I’ve seen my fair share of them. But, usually when I see a wing tattoo, it’s inked onto someone’s back. And there is a good reason why people get wing tattoos inked there. It’s because angels have their wings on their backs. So, it’s actually a representation of that. Or it could mean that the person has an angel on their shoulder. They are literally asking for divine intervention in their life, and asking for their deities protection. But, I haven’t seen too many wing tattoos like the one here. It’s evidently a memorial of some sort to a loved one because it has the words "My Love" with wings and a halo on it. Now I would normally say that this is a memorial to a living one but the halo gives me pause. I’m thinking that the loved one represented by this tattoo has passed on and that is why they have a halo over the top of it. The person has litterally become an angel. If that’s the case then I can’t think of a better tribute then a wing tattoo such as this one.

In this image we see a couple of friendship tattoos that are pretty much self explanatory. A small dragon on a girls ankle and a slightly larger version of the same dragon on the guys ankle, who is standing next to her. And chances are most likely that in this instance this is boyfriend and girlfriend. And that’s cool too. This is a good way to show a person how much you care for them. And it’s a way that you can’t get hurt to bad when things break up. At the worst, when it’s over, you are left with a small dragon on your ankle. And that’s no big deal. It’s not like having a person’ s name on you for life. Which I do because I was dumb enough to put a girlfriends name on my ad when I was fourteen years hold. Not something I would recommend.

Humming birds are symbols of peace, and perseverance. Dragon lilies are also known throughout the world as a symbol of beauty, which is probably why this hummingbird tattoo is so beautiful. Here we have a picture of a tattoo cross that is an extremely interesting one. Not only is it not a traditional cross but it appears to be made of the very iron spikes used to hold Jesus to the cross by his hands and feet. At least that is the impression it makes on me as I look at it. I could be totally wrong of course and if I am, I would like to know it. The classic tattoo cross of course is of a Christian cross, a Celtic cross or a tribal cross. Those are without a doubt the three most common ones out there that one finds as tattoos. And the general meaning for all of them is the same. Simply put, they stand for a God of one sort or another.

This is not the best tattoo cross that I have ever seen. Actually, to me it seems a tad bit rudimentary. But, often with tattoo cross designs it’s the meaning and not the execution that matters to the bearer.
